We are in Burgos. Big, beautiful city with an extraordinary cathedral. This weekend is also the annual El Cid festival with folks dressed in medieval costume and various festivities happening late into the evening. Already had outstanding tapas for lunch and more of the same this evening. Walk was short and uneventful.
It is said the a Camino is divided into thirds. The first third is about the body. We have finished that third. The second third is about the mind. Tomorrow that starts with the Meseta - 7 or 8 days of a lot about nothing. The last third is about the soul....Don't know what any of that means. All I know is that it's time to head out for a copa or two of a good Ribera del Duero.
